Over the last decade, Leggato has grown and matured its portfolio into a diversified offering that incorporates industrial, commercial and agricultural properties through to residential investment properties and developments.

Leggato’s first investment property, an industrial unit in Beaconvale (Parow), was purchased in 2009. Since then Leggato has focused on growing its legacy by carefully selecting a broad range of properties for its South African portfolio. These include stylish office space in Stellenbosch, residential developments in sought after areas like the Cape Winelands and Somerset West as well as agricultural properties in Ceres and Darling.

Leggato strategically maintains a healthy balance between cash yielding and capital growth properties. This is why we diversified our geographical risk and expanded the Leggato asset base internationally in 2014, by investing in Berlin, Germany.

 
 

The person behind Leggato

Louis Andrag is the managing director of Leggato. He holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial and mechanical engineering as well as an MBA degree from Stellenbosch University. Before starting Leggato, Louis managed a successful agricultural machinery business for 10 years before following his passion to pursue property investment and development. Louis has a proven track record in investment and development management with special expertise in marketing, finance and HR management. In addition to his role at Leggato, Louis also serves as an independent, non-executive director of JSE-listed Fairvest Property Holdings Ltd and as a Director of various other privately-owned companies.
